Trent Alexander-Arnold in a Real Madrid shirt

Real Madrid announced in an official statement the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a free transfer for six seasons, from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2031.

Trent underwent a medical at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, before being presented as a new Real Madrid player.

During his presentation to the media, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez said: "Dear Trent, welcome to Real Madrid. A player who has won everything, one of the best defenders in the world and a Liverpool legend, has arrived at Real Madrid. He wants to continue making history with Los Blancos. We are grateful for your choice of Real Madrid. You could have left for other clubs or stayed at Liverpool, but you chose us because you wanted to play here."

Trent Arnold is expected to wear the number 12 shirt for Real Madrid, after wearing the number 66 shirt for Liverpool.

Trent is participating with Real Madrid in the Club World Cup in the United States from June 14 to July 13. The Royals are in Group H alongside Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, Salzburg of Austria, and Pachuca of Mexico.
