Manchester United star Marcus Rashford continues his recovery from injury, attempting to regain full fitness amid uncertainty over his future with the Red Devils.
The 27-year-old winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, having lost his starting place under Ruben Amorim.
Rashford made 17 appearances in all competitions under Unai Emery before suffering an injury that kept him out of the last four Premier League games of the season.
Although Villa have a permanent £40 million option, their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League has seen them back out of the move.
The Manchester Evening News reported that Rashford "dreams" of one day playing for Barcelona and is reportedly willing to take a pay cut from his £350,000-a-week salary.
However, according to Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona are unwilling to meet United's asking price and are instead considering a loan move.
However, United are reportedly refusing to consider anything other than a permanent move at this stage. The report suggests that if no agreement is reached by the final stages of the summer transfer window, they may reconsider and agree to a loan deal, but only after exhausting all other options.
The winger is working behind the scenes to maintain his fitness while awaiting any updates on his condition.
