Hungarian Liverpool player Dominik Szoboszlai praised his Egyptian international teammate Mohamed Salah for his performances with the Reds this season.
Mohamed Salah, 32, is having a stellar season with Liverpool, topping the Premier League's goal scorers and assists charts this season with 28 and 18 goals, respectively.
"I'm really close to Mohamed Salah, it's unbelievable. It feels like he's breaking a new record every week," Szoboszlai told the club's website.
He added: "Just as I think Ronaldo once said that he doesn't follow records, records follow him, I think Mohamed Salah can say the same thing now, because he's setting a new record every week."
He concluded: "There are many players in our team who played a big role this season, but yes, of course, Mohamed Salah was one of them."
Mohamed Salah has scored 244 goals in all competitions for the Reds so far, including 183 in the Premier League - more than any other player for the club.
In addition to his two Premier League titles, Salah has won the Golden Boot three times and the Playmaker Award once, and is on course to win both awards again later this month.
Al-Masry is only three goals away from fourth place in the tournament's top scorers list, since its inception in 1992.
