Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer spoke about his team's participation in the Club World Cup, which is being hosted by the United States this summer.

Speaking to BR24 about participating in the Club World Cup, Neuer said: "This is the first edition of the tournament in that format (32 teams participating). We will go there with the goal of becoming world champions. That is our ultimate goal."

Commenting on his teammate Thomas Müller's final match for Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena against Mönchengladbach last Saturday, he said: "It was a wonderful moment, and on the other hand, it was a sad moment. I played many matches with him and he played a large part in our successes together. We won 12 league titles together. I will definitely miss him."

Neuer addressed Harry Kane's Bundesliga title win, the first of his professional career, saying: "I'm proud that he was able to celebrate his first title with us. It's more than deserved, given the way he played football throughout his career and what he's done for the teams. I'm happy to share this moment with him."

He also spoke about the injury that recently kept him out of action for two months: "I realized I had to be careful and not run too fast. Unfortunately, it took a long time, as injuries are complicated at my age. I have no problem participating in the Club World Cup or in the match against Hoffenheim next week."
