Omar Marmoush, Manchester City player

Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, a Manchester City player, was crowned on Saturday with the award for the best goal of the 2024-2025 Premier League season.

Marmoush, who joined the English club during the last winter transfer window from Eintracht Frankfurt, scored in Manchester City's 3-1 win over Bournemouth last May, and was voted Goal of the Season.

Marmoush's goal garnered the most votes from fans and a panel of football experts, topping a shortlist that included Carlos Baleba, David Brooks, Jens Cajuste, John Doran, Alexander Isak, Nicholas Jackson, Kaoru Mitoma, Cole Palmer, and Harry Wilson.

Marmoush became the first Manchester City player to win the Goal of the Season award, and the second Egyptian player after Mohamed Salah's goal against Manchester City in the 2021-22 season.

It's worth noting that Manchester City secured qualification for next season's Champions League after finishing third in the English Premier League with 71 points.
