Lamine Yamal

Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni has urged his team to do everything in their power to contain the threat posed by Barcelona's Lamine Yamal in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final at San Siro on Tuesday.

Inter Milan drew 3-3 with Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

"I've already faced him with Spain and he hasn't reached that level yet," Bastoni said in a press conference on Monday.

He added: "I was impressed by the level he has reached. For his age and his ability to do incredible things on the pitch, I think he is among the best in the world right now."

He continued: "We will have to mark him twice, maybe three times, as we did sometimes in the first leg, but without exaggeration, otherwise we will create a lot of space. Barcelona is not just about Jamal."

He continued: "Reaching the final is a 50-50 chance. Everything is open. I think it will be a similar match to the first leg, so I'm happy that we'll be playing in front of our fans."

He explained: "I can't help but feel proud of what we've achieved. We're two matches away from winning the Champions League. That's our goal, and we really want to make a good impression and please our fans."

He concluded: "We are confident that our fans will support us strongly at San Siro. We live for moments like this."
