Victor Osimhen

Turkish club Galatasaray is close to completing a deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli during the current summer transfer window.

Osimhen played on loan with Galatasaray last season and impressed, prompting the Turkish club to attempt to sign him permanently.

Osimhen has been linked with a move to several clubs this summer, most notably Saudi club Al Hilal, who offered him a hefty salary, but he insisted on staying in Europe.

European transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Galatasaray is very close to signing Osimhen permanently.

Romano indicated that Galatasaray has reached a verbal agreement with Napoli regarding the signing of Osimhen, pending the completion of the contracts.

Romano explained that Galatasaray will pay €40 million in cash, plus another €35 million after a year, in addition to bonuses of up to €5 million based on goals scored.

Napoli also included a clause allowing it to receive 10% of any future sale of the player, along with a clause preventing the player from being sold to Italian clubs within two years.
